About the Division

The Retail Distribution Division is responsible for the growth of multiple channels including Bancassurance, Intermediaries, Direct channels, and Partnerships. It is also responsible for delivering service excellence for all UOI customers and increasing market awareness of UOI to achieve consumer trust and recognition.

Job Purpose

The Bancassurance Executive is responsible for ensuring smooth operational processes for bancassurance partnerships. This role focuses on coordinating with bank partners, managing documentation, and supporting compliance and service delivery. Key responsibilities include sales and commission reporting and tracking, conducting regular cadences with bank stakeholders, executing and tracking initiatives, and identifying new opportunities. The Executive will work closely with internal teams and bank stakeholders to resolve operational issues, track performance, and maintain strong partner relationships.

Key Responsibilities

1. Partner Coordination

Serve as the main point of contact for operational affairs with banking partners and hold regular updates to assess performance and projects. Arrange meetings, draft agendas, log outcomes, and monitor agreed tasks. Guarantee a minimum of 95% of planned catch-ups take place on schedule and action points are resolved within the specified periods.

2. Sales & Commission Reporting

Compile, manage, and verify precise summaries regarding sales results, commission payments, and operational data. Carry out reconciliation and variance analysis. Achieve 100%accuracy in reports and ensure submission within 3 working days of month-end.

3. Initiative Execution

Assist in the rollout and monitoring of projects designed to boost bancassurance results and client satisfaction. Track schedules, report on milestones, and flag delays or potential risks ahead of time. Ensure 90% of initiatives are delivered within agreed timelines and KPIs.

4. Opportunity Identification

Partner with stakeholders to discover fresh business avenues and operational upgrades. Review market trends and offer suggestions for development. Present at least one actionable opportunity per quarter

5. Compliance & Audit

Ensure adherence to regulatory and internal audit requirements. Prepare audit documentation, assist in compliance reviews, and implement corrective actions where necessary. Achieve zero non-compliance findings in audits and complete corrective actions within agreed timeline.

6. Cross-functional Collaboration

Work with underwriting, claims, and operations teams to ensure smooth policy issuance and servicing. Coordinate with multiple teams for issue resolution and process improvements. Resolve 95% of escalated issues within SLA timelines.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Business, Finance, or related field.
  • 1–2 years in bancassurance, insurance operations, or financial services support (preferably with exposure to partner coordination).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and reporting tools. Familiar with CRM systems and bancassurance processes.
  • Ability to interpret sales and commission data, identify variances, and provide actionable insights.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to liaise with bank stakeholders and internal teams effectively.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements and audit processes in insurance.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, able to manage multiple priorities, and proactive in problem-solving.
