The posting

This role supports the execution of regional compliance, internal control, information security and data privacy activities across our business units in Asia. This includes coordinating compliance and internal control reporting, maintaining policies and governance documentation, supporting information security, data privacy, and outsourcing governance activities, supporting digital transformation initiatives, and facilitating stakeholder communications.

The role contributes to the operational efficiency and effectiveness of the Compliance & Information Security function by ensuring the timely and accurate completion of administrative, reporting, governance, and documentation activities, supporting the team in meeting regulatory, policy, and reporting obligations across the region.

Please note that this is a 5-month contract role.

Responsibilities

Compliance Governance & Reporting

  • Support regional compliance and internal control programme activities.
  • Coordinate and consolidate compliance-related information from business units.
  • Track compliance reporting submissions and follow up on outstanding action items.
  • Support monitoring, reporting and governance activities relating to regulatory and compliance obligations.
  • Maintain compliance records and documentation.
  • Support the administration management of Policies, Regulations and Guidelines (PRGs).

Information Security & Data Privacy

  • Provide administrative and coordination support for Information Security and Data Privacy initiatives.
  • Maintain governance records and documentation.
  • Assist in coordinating information requests and information gathering activities with business units.

Outsourcing & Operational Governance

  • Support outsourcing governance administration by tracking reporting submissions, and follow-up on outstanding items.

Stakeholder Coordination

  • Liaise with stakeholders across MSIG Asia and its business units.
  • Coordinate meetings and maintain meeting records.
  • Support communications, information requests, and follow-up actions with internal stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Relevant professional certification in Compliance, Risk Management, Audit, Insurance, Finance or Accounting is preferred
  • Relevant experience in Compliance, Risk Management, Governance, Audit, insurance operations, or a related function is preferred
  • Experience supporting regulatory compliance, internal controls, governance processes, and risk management activities is preferred
  • Good understanding of compliance risks and controls is preferred
  • Knowledge of anti-bribery, fraud risk management, AML/CFT and sanctions compliance principles is preferred
  • Experience in the insurance industry is preferred
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail and documentation management skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion
  • Demonstrates the highest standards of integrity, ethics, and compliance, and consistently adheres to applicable laws, regulations, company policies, and professional standards
