Key Responsibilities
- Own fabrication projects end to end, from planning and progress control through to final delivery
- Produce construction drawings, method statements, procedures, engineering calculations and risk assessments
- Compile Material Take-Off (MTO) lists and assist procurement with vendor selection
- Schedule and allocate manpower, materials and equipment to meet project timelines
- Work with QA/QC to develop Inspection and Test Plans, and arrange third-party inspections
- Monitor fabrication progress alongside the production team and keep stakeholders regularly informed
- Resolve site matters and make sure all daily operations comply with HSE requirements
Requirements
- Diploma in Engineering, ideally in a Marine or Offshore discipline
- At least 2 years of Steel Fabrication experience preferred
- Skilled in 2D AutoCAD, MS Office and MS Project; 3D modelling ability is an advantage
- Solid grasp of steel fabrication processes, industry standards and classification society rules
- Familiarity with steel materials, including grades, thicknesses and EN standards
- Hands-on knowledge of welding processes (SMAW, FCAW, SAW, GTAW)
- Strong grounding in project management and engineering calculations
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with staff at all levels
