Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Executive to manage and support the financial, accounting, and administrative functions of our precious metals recycling and trading operations.
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance, possess strong analytical skills, and be comfortable handling financial transactions, reporting, and customer settlements.
This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic international business environment with exposure to precious metals trading and hedging activities.
Responsibilities
- Handle day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, reports, and reconciliations.
- Coordinate customer hedging instructions, price confirmations, and accurately record transactions and settlements in the company's in-house system.
- Prepare customer settlement reports and related financial documentation.
- Process supplier and customer payments, including payment follow-ups.
- Assist in precious metals hedging transactions and maintain accurate transaction records.
- Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
- Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and management reports.
- Support GST reporting, audit preparation, and compliance requirements.
- Liaise with customers, suppliers, auditors, and financial institutions.
- Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records.
- Support general administrative and office operations when required.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in accounting or finance.
- Good understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software; experience with Xero would be an advantage.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Able to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in commodities trading, precious metals, or international transactions would be an added advantage.
