The Community Foundation of Singapore (CFS) is a non-profit organisation founded in 2008 to encourage and enable philanthropy in Singapore.
We match donors' interests with causes and offer ways for them to make a greater impact through their charitable funds. We also collaborate with charity partners to identify programmes that support diverse communities.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The incumbent will provide short-term finance and administrative support to the Finance team. The work mainly involves checking documents, updating trackers, following up on routine matters and helping to keep payment and signatory-update processes moving smoothly.
Note: This opportunity is offered on a contract-for-service basis. The successful candidate will be engaged as an independent contractor rather than an employee. Accordingly, employee benefits such as CPF contributions, medical benefits and annual leave will not apply. Reasonable flexibility in work arrangements may be discussed and agreed in advance, subject to project deliverables, operational requirements and mutual agreement.
Key Responsibilities
Grant Disbursement & Payment Support
- Support the Finance team in processing grant disbursements, vendor payments and reimbursements.
- Check that approvals and supporting documents are complete before payment processing.
- Update payment schedules and trackers, and follow up on outstanding documents where needed.
- Coordinate with internal teams on routine payment queries and status updates.
- Maintain orderly payment records and supporting documents for audit and reference purposes.
Bank and Investment Account Administration
- Help coordinate updates to authorised signatory mandates for CFS bank and investment accounts.
- Liaise with the relevant institutions to obtain forms and confirm documentation requirements.
- Prepare forms and supporting documents, coordinate internal signatures and submit completed documents.
- Follow up on submission status and update a simple progress tracker.
- Assist with related administrative tasks as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma, degree or equivalent qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related discipline preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in finance operations, accounts payable or banking administration.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with NetSuite or a similar accounting system would be an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Able to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Able to commit to the initial three-month engagement.
- Candidates who are able to commence work at short notice will have an advantage.
OTHER INFORMATION
This is an initial three-month engagement, which may be extended by mutual agreement depending on operational requirements. A hybrid working arrangement is available, subject to the organisation's prevailing workplace arrangements and operational requirements. Experienced professionals, including those returning to work or who are semi-retired, are welcome to apply.
