Finance Intern – Management Information System (MIS)
Overview We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Intern to support the Finance team in preparing management reports, analysing financial data, and maintaining accurate financial information. The intern will gain exposure to financial reporting, MIS, budgeting, and day-to-day finance operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing Management Information System (MIS) reports and financial reports for management review.
- Collect, consolidate, and validate financial data from various sources.
- Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc management reports.
- Assist with analysis of revenue, expenses, profitability, and other key financial metrics.
- Maintain and update financial databases, spreadsheets, and reporting templates.
- Assist in preparing budget vs. actual analysis and identifying significant variances.
- Perform data reconciliation and ensure accuracy and completeness of financial information.
- Support the Finance team with month-end closing activities and other reporting requirements.
- Prepare charts, summaries, and presentations to communicate financial information clearly.
- Assist with other finance-related projects and ad-hoc tasks as required.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with good attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and basic data analysis is advantageous.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Prior internship or experience in finance/accounting is an advantage but not required.
