About the Role

We are seeking a Technology Finance & Workforce Management Specialist to support financial control, resource planning and management reporting for Technology Applications within a leading bank.

This role requires practical experience handling financial reporting and workforce data, with the ability to explain variances, identify resource gaps and provide clear recommendations to management. You will work closely with platform leads, Finance, HR, technology teams and vendors to ensure accurate reporting and timely execution.

Key Responsibilities

Technology Finance

  • Manage Build, Maintain and Operate financial reporting, covering actual expenditure, forecasts, budgets and variance analysis.
  • Support month-end closing, including accruals, prepayments, balance-sheet reconciliations and flash reporting.
  • Coordinate annual budgeting and periodic forecasting, validating and consolidating inputs from technology stakeholders.
  • Investigate financial variances, explain key cost drivers and prepare clear management commentary.
  • Track cost allocations, recoveries, recharges and Strategic Cost Management savings.
  • Deliver accurate financial reports and analysis to support management decisions and governance reviews.

Workforce Planning and Management

  • Coordinate resource demand and supply planning, headcount budgeting and capacity management across technology teams.
  • Track hiring requests from submission and approval through onboarding and closure, following up on outstanding actions.
  • Maintain accurate workforce records, including staff movements, work classifications, team allocations and organisational records.
  • Monitor vacancies, hiring progress, attrition and resource movements, escalating gaps and exceptions promptly.
  • Support internal resource deployment and workforce optimisation across locations, staff types and vendors.
  • Reconcile workforce information across systems and trackers, resolving discrepancies with relevant stakeholders.

Stakeholder Management and Reporting

  • Translate financial and workforce data into meaningful insights, clear management narratives and actionable recommendations.
  • Partner with Finance, HR, technology teams and vendors to resolve data, process and operational issues.
  • Manage recurring reporting deadlines and respond to ad hoc analysis and management requests.
  • Take ownership of assigned issues and follow through to closure.

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in technology finance and/or workforce management, with demonstrated capability to support the combined responsibilities of this position.
  • Practical experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and variance analysis.
  • Working knowledge of month-end financial processes, including accruals, prepayments and balance-sheet reconciliation.
  • Relevant experience in workforce reporting, headcount tracking, resource planning or hiring-request management.
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills, including the ability to validate and consolidate complex data, investigate discrepancies and explain findings clearly.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel for data analysis and reconciliation, and PowerPoint for management reporting.
  • Strong stakeholder-management and communication skills, with confidence working across Finance, HR, technology teams and vendors.
  • Highly organised and meticulous, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and recurring deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to work independently, exercise sound judgement and take accountability for completing assigned activities.
  • Banking or financial services experience is preferred.
  • Available to commit to a 12-month contract.

Application Guidelines

Applicants should clearly demonstrate their relevant technology finance and workforce management responsibilities in their CV, including the financial processes handled, workforce reporting scope, tools used and stakeholders supported.

Please highlight direct ownership of reporting, reconciliation, planning or analysis activities. General administrative support or recruitment coordination alone will not demonstrate the full experience required for this role.

Interested candidates are kindly requested to email their CV with their experience to [email protected]

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
