The posting

We are seeking motivated and hands-on individuals to join our Fish Facility team. The successful candidate will support the daily operation of aquaculture systems, including fish husbandry, feeding, water quality monitoring, system maintenance, and research activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine water quality testing (pH, DO, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, alkalinity, salinity, temperature) and monitor fish/shrimp health, behavior, feeding, growth, and system performance.
  • Support R&D projects through experimental setup, sample collection, data recording, and analysis.
  • Assist in the setup, maintenance, troubleshooting, and integration of Recirculating Aquaculture Systems and related equipment.
  • Perform routine aquaculture operations, monitor performance, and conduct laboratory analysis of biological, water, and feed samples.
  • Maintain laboratory cleanliness, organization, and biosecurity standards, while ensuring the proper calibration, maintenance, and operation of laboratory equipment and instruments.
  • Develop, review, and update SOPs, work instructions, and protocols, while maintaining accurate laboratory records for full traceability.
  • Assist with inventory and stock management of laboratory consumables, equipment, and chemicals.
  • Ensure facility activities comply with all safety procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • NITEC/Higher NITEC or Diploma in Marine Science, Biotechnology, Environmental Science, Food Science, Aquaculture, or a related field.
  • Possesses a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a keen interest in aquaculture, marine science, or fish farming.
  • Demonstrates adaptability in performing duties across office and aquaculture farm environments.
  • Willing to travel to offsite when required to support operational needs.
