The posting

Full-Time | Boutique Floral & Funeral Services Company

Salary: S$2,000 – S$3,500 per month (commensurate with experience and skill level)

Working Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (inclusive of a 1-hour meal break)

Work Schedule: 5.5-day work week, with flexibility to combine two half-days into one full day off, subject to operational requirements.

Overtime: Overtime may be required based on business needs and will be compensated in accordance with applicable employment regulations.

About the Role

We are a small boutique company seeking a creative, independent and hands-on Florist who takes pride in delivering beautiful, high-quality floral arrangements.

Our floral work covers a diverse range of occasions, from joyful celebrations and thoughtful gifts to meaningful farewells.

As part of a lean and dynamic team, you will be given the opportunity to exercise your creativity, take ownership of your work, and contribute ideas to improve our floral designs and daily operations.

We are looking for someone who is not only passionate about flowers but is also resourceful, solution-oriented and capable of working independently, particularly when handling time-sensitive orders.

Key Responsibilities

1. Floral Design & Arrangements

  • Design and create fresh floral arrangements for churches, religious services and other events.
  • Prepare congratulatory flower stands, floral gift boxes, bouquets and customised floral gifts.
  • Design and assemble funeral floral arrangements, including condolence stands, casket sprays and other funeral-related floral displays.
  • Work creatively with available flowers, materials and budgets to produce aesthetically pleasing arrangements.
  • Ensure floral arrangements are completed to a high standard of quality, presentation and workmanship.

2. Flower Preparation & Inventory Management

  • Receive, inspect, condition and properly store fresh flowers to maintain freshness and longevity.
  • Prepare flowers and floral materials for upcoming orders.
  • Monitor floral stock levels, minimise wastage and ensure efficient use of materials.
  • Maintain floral supplies, tools and equipment in good working condition.
  • Assist with inventory tracking, stock replenishment and procurement when required.

3. Time-Sensitive Order Fulfilment

  • Independently plan, prioritise and execute floral orders according to deadlines.
  • Handle urgent and last-minute funeral floral orders efficiently without compromising quality.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and resourcefulness when faced with flower shortages, unexpected changes or tight timelines.
  • Troubleshoot operational challenges and propose practical solutions proactively.
  • Coordinate with team members to ensure timely completion and delivery of floral arrangements.

4. General Administration & Workplace Maintenance

  • Assist with basic administrative duties, order tracking, inventory records and other operational tasks.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organisation and hygiene of the floral workspace, storage areas and office.
  • Assist with general office housekeeping and other reasonable duties during quieter periods.
  • Support other aspects of daily business operations as required in a small-team environment.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in floristry or floral design is preferred.
  • Able to independently create bouquets, floral stands and other arrangements with minimal supervision.
  • Strong sense of aesthetics, colour coordination, creativity and attention to detail.
  • Independent and self-motivated, with the ability to manage tasks without constant supervision.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive, can-do attitude.
  • Able to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines, especially for urgent funeral orders.
  • Good time management and organisational skills.
  • Willing to take on a variety of responsibilities within a small boutique business.
  • Physically able to handle flowers, floral supplies, standing work and occasional lifting.
  • Reliable, responsible and willing to learn and improve.
  • A positive attitude and good teamwork skills.

What We Offer

  • Monthly salary of S$2,000 – S$3,500, depending on experience and capabilities.
  • 5.5-day work week with flexible half-day arrangements, subject to scheduling needs.
  • Overtime compensation where applicable.
  • Opportunity to express creativity through a wide variety of floral designs.
  • Hands-on experience across celebratory, gifting, church and funeral floral arrangements.
  • A small, close-knit working environment with opportunities to take ownership and grow professionally. There will be annual bonus based on certain KPIs as well.

Who Will Thrive in This Role?

We value attitude, initiative and accountability as much as floral design skills.

You will thrive here if you enjoy working independently, are comfortable making decisions, and take the initiative to solve problems rather than waiting for instructions.

As a small boutique firm, we appreciate individuals who are adaptable, hands-on and willing to contribute beyond their primary job scope when needed.

If you are a creative florist who takes ownership of your work, enjoys variety and can deliver beautiful arrangements even under tight deadlines, we would love to hear from you.

How to Apply

Please submit your resume, relevant floral design experience and a portfolio or photographs of floral arrangements you have personally created to +65 89483836.

Shortlisted candidates may be invited for a practical floral arrangement assessment.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
