Job Description
- Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections of building systems, equipment, fixtures, fittings, meeting rooms and common facilities.
- Carry out minor building, mechanical and electrical repairs and handyman works.
- Attend to maintenance requests, troubleshoot faults and support corrective repairs and breakdown response.
- Conduct daily, weekly and monthly inspections of critical facilities and building systems.
- Coordinate and supervise contractors performing maintenance, defect rectification, replacement and upgrading works.
- Support maintenance of M&E systems, UPS, generators, fire alarm and suppression systems, switchboards, lifts and other building services.
- Monitor water and electricity meter readings and report abnormal consumption.
- Assist with fire safety, emergency response, incident management and business continuity arrangements.
- Coordinate meeting room setups with AV and cleaning contractors when required.
Requirements
- Minimum NITEC/Higher NITEC in Facility Management or Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Mechanical and Electrical Services or Building Services or an equivalent qualification from a recognised institution.
- Relevant experience in facilities management, building operations and maintenance, including preventive and corrective maintenance, inspections, minor repairs, handyman works and service request response.
- Practical knowledge of M&E systems, lighting, plumbing, sanitary systems, air-conditioning, ventilation, common facilities and general building maintenance.
- Familiar with WSH requirements, permit-to-work procedures ,risk assessments, PPE, incident reporting, fire safety and emergency response.
- Able to take and record water and electricity meter readings, identify abnormal consumption, maintain maintenance records and prepare operational reports.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, email and a CMMS or equivalent maintenance tracking platform.
Added advantage: Experience supporting critical systems such as UPS, generators, fire alarm and suppression systems, sprinkler systems, HV/LV switchboards and lifts.
Added advantage: LEW, SCEM (Associate), Green Mark Facilities Manager, WSH Coordinator, FSM or other relevant building services, energy management or safety certifications.
