Job Description

  • Prepare ingredients, utensils, equipment and workstations for practical lessons and demonstrations.
  • Assist teachers during practical sessions by distributing supplies and replenishing ingredients.
  • Prepare ingredients and equipment for school assessments and national practical examinations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in food laboratories, storage areas, utensils and appliances.
  • Assist with purchasing, stock management, inventory records and expiry date monitoring.
  • Ensure proper food handling, storage and compliance with dietary requirements.
  • Conduct basic equipment checks, report defects and ensure laboratory readiness and security.
  • Support departmental activities, maintain records and coordinate with teachers on food laboratory requirements

Requirements

  • Qualification: Minimum GCE N-Level or equivalent.
  • Certification: Valid WSQ Food Safety Course Level 1 certification.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of relevant experience in a Nutrition and Food ScienceLab in a secondary school.
  • Skills: Able to speak and write in English.
  • Proficient in email correspondence, Microsoft Word and Excel.
