We are looking for a detail oriented and analytical Fundraising Operations Executive to support our Community Engagement team. The role plays an important part in ensuring the accuracy of fundraising data, monitoring performance, coordinating compliance requirements and improving operational processes.

Beyond preparing reports and maintaining records, you will analyse data, identify trends and provide insights to support decision making and strengthen the effectiveness of our fundraising and community engagement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

1. Data management and reporting

· Maintain accurate and up to date donor records, fundraising information and community engagement data in the relevant databases and customer relationship management systems.

· Prepare regular fundraising reports and dashboards to track performance against targets and key performance indicators.

· Analyse fundraising and community engagement data to identify trends, patterns, variances and opportunities for improvement.

· Present findings and recommendations in clear and meaningful reports to support management decision making.

2. Performance monitoring and improvement

· Monitor key statistics relating to fundraising campaigns, donor retention, community outreach and engagement activities.

· Evaluate campaign and event outcomes to identify areas for improvement and recommend practical measures to enhance effectiveness.

· Identify data discrepancies, reporting gaps and process inefficiencies and work with relevant stakeholders to resolve them.

· Track agreed improvement actions and support the team in monitoring their effectiveness.

3. Compliance, audit and donation reconciliation

· Coordinate the preparation and submission of documents for internal and external audits.

· Ensure fundraising records and supporting documentation are complete, accurate and properly maintained.

· Reconcile donation records with Finance and investigate discrepancies to ensure accurate financial reporting.

· Support compliance with applicable charity fundraising requirements, data protection obligations and internal financial controls.

4. Team and operational support

· Coordinate routine enquiries from donors, community partners and internal stakeholders, referring more complex matters to the relevant colleagues.

· Coordinate team meetings, prepare agendas, record key discussions and follow up on action items.

· Provide administrative and logistical support for fundraising campaigns, community engagement initiatives and events.

· Undertake other duties and projects as assigned to support the team's objectives.

Requirements

· Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Data Analytics, Finance, Marketing or a related discipline.

· At least 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in data analysis, reporting, operations, fundraising administration or a similar role. Experience in the charity or non-profit sector will be an advantage.

· Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including the use of PivotTables, lookup functions and data analysis tools.

· Experience with customer relationship management systems or donor databases. Familiarity with Salesforce, Raiser's Edge or similar platforms will be an advantage.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends and recommend practical improvements.

· Meticulous, organised and able to manage multiple tasks and meet reporting deadlines.

· Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly to different stakeholders.

· A proactive and collaborative team player who takes ownership of assigned responsibilities and follows through on outstanding matters.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
