Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly connected Senior Business Development Manager with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the arcade and amusement industry.

The successful candidate should have a deep understanding of the arcade industry, including how the industry has evolved over the past 20 years, major market trends, key players, arcade machine development, business models, location strategies and changing consumer behaviour.

This role will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities locally and internationally, establishing strategic partnerships, expanding our machine network and helping the company identify the next stage of growth within the arcade and amusement industry.

The candidate must be comfortable travelling frequently overseas to meet suppliers, manufacturers, licensors, distributors, operators, mall groups and potential business partners.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Development & Expansion

  • Identify and secure new business opportunities within the arcade and amusement industry.
  • Develop new locations and partnerships with shopping malls, arcade operators, family entertainment centres, retailers and other entertainment businesses.
  • Develop and execute strategies to expand the company's presence in Singapore and overseas markets.
  • Identify new business models, revenue opportunities and potential markets for expansion.
  • Lead negotiations with business partners, landlords, operators, suppliers and other stakeholders.

2. Industry Knowledge & Market Intelligence

  • Maintain a deep understanding of the arcade and amusement industry and its development over the past 20 years.
  • Understand major changes in arcade business models, machine technology, payment systems, prize machines, location strategies and consumer trends.
  • Monitor international arcade markets and identify emerging trends and opportunities.
  • Understand the major industry players, manufacturers, distributors, operators and licensors across key markets.
  • Provide management with insights into where the industry is heading and recommend new business opportunities.

3. International Business Development

  • Travel frequently to overseas markets for business meetings, exhibitions, supplier visits and partnership discussions.
  • Develop relationships with international manufacturers, game developers, licensors, distributors and arcade operators.
  • Explore opportunities to introduce new products and arcade concepts into Singapore and other markets.
  • Represent the company at international trade shows and industry events.
  • Evaluate overseas markets and recommend potential expansion opportunities.

4. Strategic Partnerships

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key industry stakeholders.
  • Identify potential strategic partners for new arcade concepts, products and projects.
  • Negotiate commercial agreements, distribution arrangements, partnerships and other business opportunities.
  • Work closely with senior management on major strategic deals.

5. Product & Market Development

  • Identify upcoming arcade machines, amusement products and entertainment concepts with strong commercial potential.
  • Evaluate new products based on market demand, profitability, location requirements and long-term potential.
  • Work with suppliers and manufacturers to understand upcoming product developments.
  • Provide feedback to suppliers and partners based on Singapore and regional market requirements.

6. Location & Commercial Development

  • Identify high-potential locations for arcade and amusement machines.
  • Evaluate footfall, demographics, competition, rental costs, revenue potential and location suitability.
  • Negotiate rental, revenue-share and commercial arrangements.
  • Develop strategies to improve the performance of existing locations.

7. Management & Reporting

  • Provide regular reports to senior management on business development activities, market trends and potential opportunities.
  • Maintain a strong pipeline of potential projects and partnerships.
  • Develop business plans and commercial proposals for new opportunities.
  • Take ownership of projects from initial opportunity identification through negotiation and implementation.
