Global Talent Acquisition Lead

Position Summary

The Global Talent Acquisition Lead is responsible for leading and executing Univers' global recruitment strategy across Singapore, Europe and North America.

This role combines strategic talent acquisition leadership with hands-on recruitment delivery, campus engagement, employer branding, internship programme development, and capability building within the Talent Acquisition team.

The successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders, develop global talent pipelines, establish early-career hiring programmes, strengthen Univers' employer brand, and coach junior Talent Acquisition team members while remaining actively involved in critical hiring activities.

Key Responsibilities

Global Talent Acquisition

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment activities across Singapore, Europe, UK, and North America.
  • Develop and execute hiring strategies aligned with business growth plans and workforce requirements.
  • Partner closely with Hiring Managers, HR Business Partners, and senior leadership teams to understand current and future talent needs.
  • Manage recruitment across technical, commercial, product, operations, corporate, and leadership functions.
  • Build and maintain robust talent pipelines for critical and hard-to-fill positions.
  • Conduct direct sourcing, talent mapping, market intelligence, and headhunting activities.
  • Manage executive and senior-level recruitment initiatives.
  • Ensure a high-quality and consistent candidate experience throughout the recruitment lifecycle.

Campus Recruitment & Early Careers Strategy

  • Develop and execute Univers' global campus recruitment and early-career talent strategy.
  • Establish strategic partnerships with universities, polytechnics, technical institutes, and professional associations.
  • Design and implement internship, graduate hiring, management trainee, and early-career programmes.
  • Build sustainable pipelines for Software Engineering, AI, Data Science, Product Management, Sustainability, Energy, and Commercial talent.
  • Create talent conversion strategies to convert high-performing interns into full-time employees.

Career Fairs & Employer Branding

  • Lead Univers' participation strategy for campus career fairs, graduate recruitment events, hackathons, technology competitions, and industry networking events.
  • Identify priority universities, institutions, and events that support the company's future talent needs.
  • Develop annual campus engagement calendars and recruitment campaigns.
  • Create compelling employer branding initiatives that position Univers as an employer of choice within AI, technology, sustainability, and digital transformation sectors.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and HR teams to strengthen Univers' employee value proposition and external employer brand.
  • Track and evaluate the effectiveness and return on investment of campus and recruitment events.

Talent Acquisition Leadership

  • Provide coaching, guidance, and mentorship to junior Talent Acquisition team member.
  • Establish recruitment best practices, interview methodologies, sourcing strategies, and candidate engagement standards.
  • Support capability development across the TA function.
  • Review recruitment activities and provide guidance on challenging searches, stakeholder management, and offer negotiations.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and hiring excellence within the TA team.

Recruitment Operations & Analytics

  • Drive continuous improvement across recruitment processes, systems, and workflows.
  • Manage recruitment tools, platforms, and agency partnerships.
  • Develop and monitor recruitment metrics including:
  • Time-to-fill
  • Cost-per-hire
  • Offer acceptance rates
  • Source effectiveness
  • Internship conversion rates
  • Quality-of-hire
  • Provide regular hiring reports, workforce insights, and talent market intelligence to leadership teams.
  • Ensure compliance with local employment regulations and recruitment governance requirements across jurisdictions.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related discipline.

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of Talent Acquisition experience with regional or global recruitment responsibilities.
  • Proven experience recruiting across Singapore, Europe, UK, and/or North America.
  • Demonstrated success hiring technical, commercial, operational, and corporate talent at all levels, including leadership positions.
  • Experience developing and executing campus recruitment, internship, and graduate hiring programmes.
  • Experience representing an organisation at university career fairs, industry events, and employer branding initiatives.
  • Previous experience coaching, mentoring, or guiding junior recruiters and recruitment coordinators.
  • Experience in technology, AI, SaaS, digital platforms, renewable energy, sustainability, or high-growth organisations is strongly preferred.

  • Experience building recruitment functions or scaling organisations through periods of rapid growth.
  • Experience supporting workforce planning and organisational growth initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of LinkedIn Recruiter, ATS platforms, and recruitment technologies.
  • Experience hiring AI Engineers, Software Engineers, Product Managers, Data Scientists, Industry Consultants, Solutions Architects, and Go-To-Market professionals.
