The posting

Our client is a high-growth, applied-AI workforce transformation business. They partner with leading enterprises to drive AI adoption and build future-ready capabilities through professional development, consulting, and capability-building programmes.

The Mandate

Reporting directly to the founder, you will be the commercial owner for the business. Your job is to turn founder-led sales into a scalable revenue engine across Singapore and Malaysia.

You will:

1. Build the Engine Design and run the GTM system from scratch — pipeline creation, qualification, forecasting, pricing discipline, and account expansion. Bring rigour without bureaucracy.

2. Sell and Close Lead complex, consultative enterprise cycles yourself. You will be in the room with CHROs, L&D Heads, Business Unit leaders and CTOs, shaping problems into commercial solutions, not just pushing programmes.

3. Create Leverage Stop relying on one channel. You will diversify growth across 3 levers: direct enterprise, strategic partnerships (employers, tech partners, industry bodies, training ecosystems), and marketing-led demand. You will make marketing accountable to pipeline, not likes.

4. Build the Team You will inherit a small, hungry Client Solutions team. Your job is to make them dangerous — coaching them from order-takers to consultative closers with clear ownership and targets.

Within 9 months, we will measure you on:

  • A predictable, growing enterprise pipeline across SG & MY — not dependent on the founder
  • Uplift in win-rates: discovery -> proposal -> close -> expansion
  • At least 2-3 anchor logo wins that can be referenced and expanded
  • Partnerships that actually produce pipeline, not just MOUs
  • A commercial dashboard the leadership team trusts

Who You Are

You are not defined by industry. You might come from B2B professional services, tech consulting, HR tech, SaaS, corporate L&D, or workforce solutions.

But you are defined by how you sell:

  • You are a hunter and a closer. You have opened doors and closed 6-figure enterprise deals from scratch.
  • You can sell the intangible. You are comfortable selling transformation, capability, and business outcomes — not just a product with a feature list.
  • You have commercial maturity. You know how to discover, shape, price, negotiate, and forecast honestly.
  • You are a hybrid — sales at your core, but marketing-aware. You know how to turn content, events, and thought leadership into money.
  • You are comfortable operating between Singapore and Malaysia. If you understand Malaysia's HRD Corp / corporate training landscape, that's a big plus.
  • You are curious about AI. You don't need to code, but you must be able to hold a credible conversation on how AI changes work, and sell that outcome.
  • You lead by doing. Lean team, hands dirty, high ownership.

This role is NOT for you if: You need a large SDR team, a mature inbound engine, and a manager title to be effective.
