The posting

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect and troubleshoot heavy vehicles such as lorries, trucks and tankers.
  • Conduct vehicle testing, servicing and preventive maintenance according to established schedules.
  • Diagnose vehicle faults and carry out appropriate repair and maintenance work.
  • Ensure repair activities comply with relevant regulations, technical specifications and company standards.
  • Maintain proper safety practices and good housekeeping in the workshop and work areas.
  • Report vehicle issues, repair requirements and other technical concerns to the relevant personnel.
  • Suggest practical improvements to vehicle maintenance and workshop processes where appropriate.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Supervisor.

Requirements

  • Valid Class 3 driving licence.
  • Forklift licence/certification is an advantage.
  • Basic working proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
  • 1–2 years of relevant experience in automotive servicing, maintenance or repair.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Willingness to learn and develop relevant technical knowledge and skills.
  • Ability to manage assigned responsibilities and follow established procedures.
  • Good problem-solving skills with the ability to identify faults and suggest improvements.
