Key Responsibilities
- Conduct inspection, troubleshooting, testing and diagnosis of heavy vehicles, including lorries, trucks and tankers.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and servicing of vehicles.
- Carry out repair and maintenance work in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements, technical specifications and company procedures.
- Identify vehicle faults and recommend appropriate repair or maintenance solutions.
- Ensure completed repair and maintenance work meets required safety, quality and operational standards.
- Maintain good housekeeping and safe working practices within the workshop and work areas.
- Identify opportunities to improve vehicle maintenance processes and workshop practices.
- Perform other relevant duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Requirements
- Possess a valid Class 3 driving licence.
- Forklift licence/certification would be an advantage where relevant to the role.
- Basic proficiency in English to understand work instructions, maintenance documentation and communicate with relevant personnel.
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in automotive servicing, vehicle maintenance or repair.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated initiative and willingness to learn new technical skills and procedures.
- Ability to take responsibility for assigned tasks and complete work in accordance with established requirements.
- Ability to identify maintenance issues and recommend practical improvements.
