Job Summary

Plan and deliver age-appropriate learning activities for EY1/EY2 children, supporting their development across multiple domains while maintaining a safe and engaging classroom environment.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and conduct age-appropriate learning activities for EY1/EY2 children to support their development
  • Implement engaging lessons that promote cognitive, language, physical, social, and emotional growth
  • Maintain a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment to enhance learning experiences
  • Observe, assess, and document children’s learning progress and developmental milestones accurately
  • Maintain classroom routines, cleanliness, and safety standards consistently
  • Communicate children’s progress effectively to parents and build positive relationships with them
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure effective curriculum delivery and support children’s well-being

Required competencies and certifications

  • Possess a Certificate in Infant/Toddler Care and Development (CIT), Higher Certificate in Infant Care (HCIC), or Advanced Certificate in Early Years (ACEY), recognised by ECDA where applicable
  • Candidates currently pursuing HCIC or ACEY are welcome to apply

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Exhibit teamwork skills and a genuine passion for caring for and supporting the development of infants and toddlers
  • Basic computer skills to support classroom documentation and communication
