Responsibilities
- Administer enterprise storage environments, including SAN/NAS storage provisioning, capacity expansion, connectivity management, and performance optimization.
- Manage VMware virtualization infrastructure, including ESXi hosts, vCenter, vSAN clusters, virtual machine provisioning, and resource allocation.
- Configure and maintain storage connectivity between virtualization hosts and storage systems using iSCSI and Fibre Channel technologies.
- Monitor storage utilization, datastore capacity, infrastructure health, and performance metrics to identify and resolve potential bottlenecks.
- Manage enterprise backup solutions, including backup scheduling, policy configuration, job monitoring, retention management, and restoration activities.
- Troubleshoot backup failures, validate data integrity, and perform periodic recovery tests to ensure the availability of critical business data.
- Implement and maintain disaster recovery solutions using VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM) or Azure Site Recovery.
- Execute replication monitoring, recovery plan validation, and disaster recovery failover/failback testing in line with defined RPO and RTO targets.
- Perform VMware infrastructure maintenance, including virtual machine migrations, snapshot management, cluster maintenance, patching, and upgrades.
- Conduct infrastructure troubleshooting and root-cause analysis to resolve recurring storage, virtualization, backup, and recovery issues.
- Support infrastructure changes, firmware maintenance, and lifecycle activities while minimizing disruption to production workloads.
- Maintain technical documentation, including storage configurations, backup procedures, disaster recovery plans, operational runbooks, and incident records.
- Collaborate with server, network, application, and security teams to resolve cross-functional infrastructure issues.
- Monitor infrastructure availability and capacity, identify potential risks, and recommend improvements to reliability and operational efficiency.

- Experience with iSCSI, Fibre Channel, storage connectivity, and virtualized infrastructure dependencies.
- Experience in backup validation, recovery procedures, RPO/RTO concepts, and disaster recovery readiness.
- Experience in enterprise production support, incident management, root-cause analysis, and change management.
- Experience in HPE server infrastructure, hardware lifecycle management, and firmware compatibility is an advantage.
- Experience in infrastructure automation or scripting using PowerShell, PowerCLI, or Python is desirable.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and cross-team coordination skills.Experience supporting enterprise VMware and storage environments in production.
- Experience in infrastructure monitoring, capacity planning, and performance optimization.
- Microsoft Azure certification is preferred.
