Job Summary

The Staff Nurse provides comprehensive nursing services to patients in the Inpatient Ward/Suite, ensuring that care is delivered safely, professionally, and in accordance with approved nursing policies, clinical procedures, and applicable healthcare standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform nursing assessments to identify patients' care needs and contribute to the development of appropriate nursing care plans.
  • Implement, monitor, and evaluate nursing interventions to promote patient safety, comfort, recovery, and overall well-being.
  • Ensure nursing procedures are carried out in accordance with established clinical protocols, infection prevention measures, and patient safety practices.
  • Monitor and document patients' clinical conditions, treatment responses, and nursing care provided, escalating concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals when necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team to support coordinated care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely nursing records in accordance with organisational policies and documentation requirements.
  • Support the Nurse Manager and relevant clinicians in departmental operations, service improvement initiatives, and other ad hoc responsibilities within the scope of nursing practice.
