About the Role
Simons Technology Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced, commercially driven and entrepreneurial Fund Manager to manage and develop the company's investment activities, with a strong focus on U.S. financial markets, cryptocurrency/digital assets and quantitative trading.
This role extends beyond traditional portfolio management. We are looking for an individual with an entrepreneurial mindset who can identify new investment and business opportunities, develop and execute investment strategies, support fundraising initiatives and contribute to the long-term growth of the company's investment activities.
The successful candidate must also be able to communicate professionally in both English and Mandarin.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor the company's investment portfolio, capital allocation and overall investment performance.
- Develop and execute investment strategies across U.S. financial markets, cryptocurrency and digital assets.
- Research and identify investment and trading opportunities across U.S. equities, digital assets and other relevant asset classes.
- Develop, evaluate and implement quantitative, systematic and algorithmic trading strategies.
- Apply data-driven and quantitative approaches to identify investment and trading opportunities.
- Conduct backtesting, performance analysis and optimisation of quantitative trading strategies.
- Monitor quantitative models, trading performance, portfolio exposure, drawdowns and overall investment risk.
- Explore the use of automation, algorithms and quantitative models to enhance investment and trading activities.
- Conduct market research, financial analysis, investment evaluation and due diligence.
- Establish appropriate portfolio allocation, risk-management and capital-protection strategies.
- Participate in fundraising and capital-raising activities, including identifying and engaging potential investors and strategic partners.
- Prepare investment proposals, presentations, performance reports and other materials for management and potential investors.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with investors, financial institutions, investment partners and other stakeholders.
- Identify new investment, business and commercial opportunities that can contribute to the company's long-term growth.
- Evaluate opportunities from both an investment and entrepreneurial perspective.
- Closely monitor developments in the U.S. economy, financial markets, cryptocurrency markets, blockchain ecosystem and global investment environment.
- Provide regular investment recommendations, market updates and portfolio performance reports to senior management.
- Maintain strict integrity, accountability and confidentiality when handling company funds and sensitive investment information.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree from a recognised university, preferably in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
- Preferably 3–5 years or more of relevant professional experience in fund management, asset management, investment management, trading, quantitative trading, cryptocurrency, venture capital or related areas.
- Strong knowledge and relevant experience in the U.S. financial markets and/or cryptocurrency/digital assets.
- Experience or strong knowledge in quantitative, systematic or algorithmic trading is highly advantageous.
- Familiarity with quantitative research, backtesting, trading models and data analysis.
- Knowledge of Python, SQL or other relevant quantitative and data-analysis tools would be an advantage.
- Experience or exposure to fundraising, capital raising, investor relations or business development is highly advantageous.
- Strong understanding of portfolio management, financial analysis, investment strategies and risk management.
- Good understanding of cryptocurrency, blockchain and the broader digital-asset ecosystem.
- Strong entrepreneurial mindset and commercial awareness, with the ability to identify and develop new opportunities.
- Proficient in both English and Mandarin, with the ability to communicate effectively in a professional business environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate with management, investors, business partners and other stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, research, presentation and decision-making skills.
- Able to work independently, take initiative and assume ownership of investment activities and performance.
- Existing professional network within the investment, financial or digital-asset sectors would be an advantage.
- High level of professional integrity, responsibility and confidentiality.
Remuneration
S$8,000 – S$10,000 per month, commensurate with the candidate's qualifications, relevant experience and track record.
