About the Role

We are looking for a technically inclined and customer-oriented individual to join our team. Reporting to the Product Specialist Manager, you will support product research, technical enquiries and customer solution development while building your knowledge of industrial products and their applications.

This is an opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in industrial products, technical solutions and solution-based sales.

Key Responsibilities

1. Product Research & Information Management

· Conduct basic product research and gather information on industrial products, equipment and their applications

· Compare product specifications, features and pricing based on assigned requirements

· Maintain and update product information, specifications and internal product records

· Assist in identifying alternative products and potential new product opportunities

2. Technical & Sales Support

· Support the identification of suitable products based on customer requirements

· Study and prepare basic product comparison, technical information and presentation materials

· Assist in product demonstrations and customer visits when required

3. Supplier & Internal Coordination

· Coordinate with internal department on product related matters

· Follow up on assigned enquiries, supplier responses and outstanding tasks

· Assist in coordinating product sample and existing product evaluation

4. Product Development & General Support

· Assist the Product Specialist Manager with new product introductions and product related initiatives

· Support the preparation and updating of product materials for internal training and sales use

· Assist in collecting relevant market information and customer feedback

· Perform other product related duties as assigned by Product Specialist Manager

Requirements

  • Diploma in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. Candidates with relevant work experiences will have an advantage.
  • Able to understand technical information and communicate it clearly.
  • Good research, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with customers, suppliers and internal teams.
  • Organised, proactive and willing to learn new products and applications.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

The following will be an advantage:

  • Exposure to industrial tools, hardware, equipment, MRO products or engineering solutions.
  • Experience preparing technical documents, product presentations or customer proposals.
  • Exposure to ERP or CRM systems.
