Our client, a well-established organization in the logistics industry is looking to hire a GL/AP Accountant

The Role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, prepayments, balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations, and financial reporting. The role will also manage key Accounts Payable activities, covering invoice processing, vendor payments, expense claims, AP reconciliations, and related GST and tax compliance. In addition, the incumbent will support audits, statutory reporting, internal controls, finance process improvements, ERP initiatives, and ad hoc projects, providing broad exposure across general accounting, financial controls, and procure-to-pay activities within a fast-growing regional logistics business.

Your Profile

You should possess a Diploma or Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related discipline, with at least 3 years of accounting experience across both General Ledger and Accounts Payable functions. You should have hands-on experience in month-end closing, journal postings, balance sheet reconciliations, multi-currency transactions, and a good understanding of accounting principles and financial controls.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems is required, with experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Oracle HFM, or similar systems being advantageous. Exposure to the logistics, supply chain, freight forwarding, or transportation industry, as well as GST, withholding tax, cross-border payments, audits, and statutory reporting, would be preferred. The successful candidate should be detail-oriented, organised, able to manage multiple priorities independently, and possess strong English and Mandarin communication skills to liaise with regional stakeholders and vendors.
