Job Description

  • Maintain cleanliness of school kitchens and preparation rooms.
  • Sweep and mop kitchens daily and clean stoves, work areas and refrigerators.
  • Receive, check and store grocery deliveries.
  • Prepare and portion food ingredients for practical lessons.
  • Prepare and arrange kitchen equipment for students and lessons.
  • Conduct stock-taking and ensure equipment is clean, accounted for and properly stored.
  • Assist teachers in managing and accounting for sharp equipment such as knives and peelers.
  • Organise kitchen cupboards and equipment neatly.
  • Check for faulty equipment and report items requiring repair or replacement.
  • Perform other kitchen-related duties as assigned by the school.

Requirements

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills with a strong team spirit.
  • Meticulous, able to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Minimum 2years of relevant work experience.
