About the role
We are seeking an L2 Support Engineer specialising in Sailpoint IAM/IGA to join our team on a contract basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide advanced technical support for Identity Access Management and Identity Governance Administration systems. As an L2 Support Engineer, you will be a key player in ensuring the stability, security and optimal performance of our Sailpoint IAM/IGA infrastructure. You will bridge the gap between frontline support and engineering teams, troubleshooting complex issues and implementing solutions that directly impact business continuity and security posture.
Key responsibilities
- Provide second-level technical support for Sailpoint IAM/IGA system and its integrations, investigating and resolving complex incidents and service requests
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to identity provisioning, access requests, role management and user lifecycle management
- Analyse system logs, error messages and performance metrics to identify root causes of problems and implement effective resolutions
- Collaborate with L3 support teams, business users and vendors to resolve issues, support compliance requirements, and ensure the reliable operations of Sailpoint services
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, runbooks and knowledge base articles for recurring issues and solutions
- Perform system maintenance activities, including patches, upgrades and configuration changes in accordance with change management procedures
- Monitor Sailpoint IAM/IGA system health, performance and security compliance
- Provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer to junior support team members and stakeholders
- Participate in on-call support schedules to provide emergency technical assistance outside standard business hours
- Support identity governance initiatives, compliance audits and security assessments related to IAM systems
What we're looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience supporting SailPoint Identity and Access Management (IAM) platforms, including user access management, provisioning, and access governance activities.
- Knowledge of identity lifecycle management, provisioning, deprovisioning, access certifications, and role management.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in application support within the Corporate Banking or Financial Services industry.
- Good understanding of security and compliance requirements related to access governance.
- Strong stakeholder management and vendor coordination skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced support environment with SLA commitments.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Hands-on experience supporting SailPoint connectors and integrations.
- Experience with application onboarding, account aggregation, and identity synchronization processes.
- Experience supporting audits and compliance reviews.
- SailPoint certification is an advantage.
