Business Lecturer
This is a 1-year contract role, with potential renewal or conversion based on performance and organisational headcount.
- Salary: $5,000 - $6,000
- Working Days: 5 days
- Working Hours: Mon–Thurs, 8.30am–6.00pm / Fri, 8.30am–5.30pm
- Location: Central (relocating to Paya Lebar / Tai Seng area around Q2 2027)
- Master’s degree or higher in a Business-related discipline, with at least a pass at GCE ‘O’ Level or equivalent in the language medium of the programme/module.
- 5–7 years of relevant experience, with teaching experience in a higher education environment preferred.
- Experience or knowledge in programme/module leadership, curriculum development and academic administration within a higher education environment.
- Proficiency in digital learning technologies, with an interest in emerging technologies and developments in education.
- Willingness to teach weekday evenings and/or weekends, where required.

Job Summary
- We are seeking an experienced Business Lecturer to deliver Business, Marketing, Statistics and related modules across Certificate, Diploma, Undergraduate and short-course programmes.
- The role will also undertake Programme/Module Leader responsibilities and contribute to curriculum development, academic quality and student success.
Responsibilities
Teaching, Learning & Assessment
- Deliver Business, Marketing, Statistics and related modules across Certificate, Diploma, Undergraduate and short-course programmes, including lectures, tutorials and asynchronous learning, with delivery to overseas colleges where required.
- Design, develop and review curriculum, teaching materials, learning resources and activities, and implement effective online and blended learning approaches.
- Set, administer, mark and review coursework and examinations, ensuring assessments align with intended learning outcomes and provide appropriate formative and summative feedback.
- Conduct internal moderation of coursework, examination papers, marking guides, QPMS examinations and assessment results; review examination papers and support coursework and examination appeal cases where required.
- Contribute to school-wide assessment initiatives, including Question Bank projects, and use digital learning platforms such as Moodle, Blackboard and other relevant technologies.
Programme & Module Leadership
- Undertake Programme Leader and/or Module Leader responsibilities as assigned, coordinating academic activities, programme administration and effective module delivery.
- Support curriculum and programme development, including evaluating teaching resources, developing new programmes and identifying growth opportunities.
- Prepare and coordinate documentation for quality assurance reviews, audits, inspections and other academic assessment exercises.
Student Success & Academic Advising
- Monitor student engagement, attendance, academic progression, performance and success, and implement early intervention strategies for students at risk.
- Provide academic advising and learning support on academic performance, career development and progression to further studies.
Academic Staff Management & Development
- Guide and support Associate Lecturers to ensure consistency and quality in teaching and assessment.
- Conduct lecturer induction, mentoring, class observations and feedback discussions, and contribute to staff development seminars and performance improvement.
Research, Professional Development & School Engagement
- Maintain an active interest in emerging technologies, educational developments and relevant professional trends, and engage in continuing professional development.
- Contribute to research, publications, seminars, conferences, knowledge exchange and curriculum innovation.
- Represent the School on relevant academic committees and participate in school events, marketing campaigns and other academic projects.
- Undertake other academic, administrative or project-related duties as assigned.
