A Warehouse assistant is responsible for supporting daily logistics, including receiving, sorting, picking, packing, and shipping goods.
Core Responsibilities
- Receiving and Unloading: Check incoming deliveries, unload trucks or containers, and inspect items for damage or missing parts.
- Inventory Management: Put away stock in designated warehouse locations, scan barcodes, update inventory logs, and assist with physical stock counts.
- Picking and Packing: Collect items for customer or store orders (picking), pack them securely, and attach shipping labels (packing).
- Dispatch and Loading: Organize prepared orders and load outgoing trucks for delivery.
- Maintenance and Safety: Keep the workspace clean and hazard-free, perform basic equipment checks, and follow safety regulations.
Key Skills and Requirements
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long hours, walk continuously, and lift heavy packages.
- Attention to Detail: Accuracy in matching product codes, counting inventory quantities, and preventing shipping errors.
- Equipment Operation: Basic operation of manual or motorized pallet jacks.
