  1. Put up credit proposals to Group Credit for approval.
  2. Be part of the project team in the department for a migration exercise. Ensure that the end to end process for Credit is followed through.
  3. Prepare credit documents.
  4. Assisting in ad-hoc projects .
  5. Manual monitoring of collateral position for Private Banking (PB) accounts.
  6. Maintenance and monitoring of exceptional handling of PB accounts.
  7. support daily internal reporting of collateral position for PB accounts.Job Description:

Client provided job requirements

(i) Diploma/Degree in Business/Banking/Finance/Accounting or equivalent work experience in loan operations

(ii) Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills

(iii) Proficient in Microsoft Office

(iv) Proficient in Microsoft office, meticulous and detailed. Able to work overtime if required

  • Lombard credit is a type of secured loan commonly used in Private Banking, where a client borrows money from the bank using their investment portfolio—such as shares, bonds, funds or other eligible securities—as collateral. The bank assigns a lending value to the investments. If the value of the collateral falls significantly, the client may need to top up collateral, repay part of the loan, or reduce the outstanding exposure.
  • What does the Credit Officer do day to day? This role is mainly a Private Banking credit operations / credit support role. Daily work includes preparing credit proposals for approval, preparing credit documentation, updating credit limits and parameters in banking systems, supporting reporting, and ensuring credit processes are completed correctly. A key responsibility is collateral monitoring. This means checking whether the value of a client's investment portfolio remains sufficient to support the amount they have borrowed. For example: "A client borrows $1 million against an investment portfolio. If the portfolio value falls sharply due to market movements, the Credit Officer monitors whether the account is still within the bank's required lending limits and flags any shortfall or exception for follow-up."
  • In simple terms, the role is about making sure Private Banking loans are properly approved, documented, recorded and continuously backed by sufficient collateral.
