Job Summary
Join Meraki Vets as an experienced veterinarian delivering high-quality medical and surgical care in a collaborative, supportive environment. You will manage cases independently while contributing to clinic growth and patient welfare.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality medical and surgical care prioritizing patient welfare and evidence-based practices
- Conduct consultations, diagnostics, and treatment planning with clear documentation and follow-up
- Communicate diagnoses, treatment options, risks, and costs effectively to support client decision-making
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records and clinical documentation
- Collaborate with nursing and support teams by providing training, supervision, and guidance to improve care standards
- Uphold professional, ethical, and regulatory standards in compliance with AVS requirements
- Foster a respectful, collaborative work environment and contribute to developing clinical standards and processes
Required competencies and certifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in a small animal veterinary clinic or hospital
- Recognised veterinary degree from an accredited school (AVMA, RCVS, or AVBC) or relevant qualifying examination for non-recognised universities
- Ability to communicate professionally in English
- Confidence managing consultations and cases independently
- Ability to perform sole-charge duties when rostered while working within a collaborative clinical team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with clients and colleagues
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Proficiency in additional languages is advantageous
Working Hours
- 4-day, 41-hour work week: 3 weekdays (9 am–8 pm) plus 1 weekend day (9 am–5 pm)
- Two-hour lunch/admin break from 12–2 pm
- Last consultation scheduled one hour before closing
- No on-call or after-hours duties
Salary, Leave and Benefits
- Salary range S$7,000–S$8,500/month depending on experience
