Job Summary
Join Meraki Vets as a Veterinary Nurse/Technician to deliver high-quality patient care, assist veterinarians in clinical procedures, and contribute to a collaborative, supportive team in a modern small animal clinic.
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during consultations, diagnostic procedures, treatments, and surgeries to ensure smooth clinical operations
- Provide attentive nursing care and monitor hospitalised patients to support recovery and wellbeing
- Collect samples and perform in-house diagnostic tests and imaging to aid accurate diagnosis
- Prepare patients for anaesthesia and surgery, monitor anaesthesia, and support patient recovery to ensure safety and comfort
- Maintain cleanliness, infection control, and hygiene of equipment to uphold clinic standards
- Educate clients on basic pet care, medication administration, and post-treatment instructions to enhance pet health outcomes
- Maintain accurate patient records, anaesthesia and treatment sheets, and clinical notes for effective case management
- Manage medical stock and maintain clinical equipment to ensure availability and functionality
- Identify and promptly report patient concerns or clinical status changes to veterinarians for timely intervention
- Supervise and guide Patient Care Assistants in safely supporting nursing tasks and clinical procedures to maintain care quality
- Assist with front-desk duties and provide reception support as needed to facilitate clinic operations
- Collaborate effectively with veterinarians, nurses, and support staff to maintain high standards of patient care and teamwork
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in a small animal veterinary clinic or hospital
- Diploma, Bachelor's degree, or certificate in veterinary nursing/technology is advantageous
- Confidence in performing day-to-day clinical nursing and hospitalised patient care
- Good communication and organisational skills to support clinical and administrative tasks
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team
- Ability to communicate professionally in English to ensure clear interaction with clients and team; proficiency in additional languages is advantageous
OTHER INFORMATION
Working Hours
- 4-day, 41-hour work week
- 3 weekdays (9 am–8 pm) plus 1 weekend day (9 am–5 pm)
- Includes a two-hour lunch/admin break from 12–2 pm
- No on-call or after-hours duties
Salary, Leave and Benefits
- Salary range S$3,500–S$4,500/month, depending on experience
