Job Description:
1. To measure Safety & Quality Performance of the company.
2. To carry out an incident/accidents analysis and formulate effective countermeasures.
3. To review and evaluate Safety Management System (SMS) evaluations and maintain the SMS.
4. To monitor new regulations and update the Senior Management.
5. Document of Compliance (DOC), Quality Management System (QMS),Environmental Management System (EMS), Maritime Labour Convention (MLC) related duties and audits.
6. To plan, conduct and follow up ship and company Internal Audits.
7. To plan shore Tabletop exercise (TTX), training, and briefing.
8. To conduct Surveillance activities of ship and shore.
9. To analyze Tanker Management and Self Assessment (TMSA), Ship Inspection Report Programme (SIRE) performance for Management Review.
10.To maintain daily liaison with an NYK group companies and related 3rd parties.
Job Requirements:
1. At least 1 year of experience as deck/engine officer on the type of ocean-going vessel being assigned or equivalent qualification.
2. Good command of written Japanese is essential for preparation of report in Japanese.
3. Hold minimum bachelor degree or equivalent in Maritime Science.
4. Minimum qualification of 2nd class mariner’s license.
5. Knowledge of navigational skills or marine engineering skills.
6. Able to communicate with NYK and related parties in Japanese.
