The posting

Our client is looking for a dynamic and commercially driven Team Leader to be part of their growing team in the marine industry.

In this role, you will lead business development efforts, strengthen key client relationships, and drive project opportunities, including drydock, cross-selling, and retrofit solutions.

We are seeking someone with proven leadership experience, strong industry expertise, and a well-established network in the marine sector. The successful candidate will be confident in leading a team while actively pursuing and securing new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee fleet HSE matters, incident investigations, reporting and corrective actions.
  • Ensure vessels comply with Class, Flag State and relevant maritime regulations.
  • Coordinate SIRE inspections, vessel surveys, ship visits, safety drills and audits.
  • Advise vessel Masters on safety, HSE and navigational matters, and assume the DPA role.
  • Oversee vessel maintenance, repairs, dry-docking and deck consumables.
  • Manage crew recruitment, deployment, welfare, performance and competency development.
  • Coordinate crew training, vessel inspections and emergency response activities.
  • Perform other fleet management duties as assigned by Management.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Maritime Studies, Nautical Studies or a related field.
  • Relevant seagoing experience, preferably as a Chief Officer or Master.
  • Experience in marine fleet management, HSE and vessel inspections.
  • Knowledge of maritime regulations, SIRE inspections and safety management systems.
  • Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Relevant qualifications for DPA responsibilities will be an advantage.
