The Opportunity

Take ownership of HMAP’s marine navigation sales growth across Southeast Asia. Build distributor partnerships, develop business with shipowners and shipyards, and help customers select Radar, ECDIS and VDR solutions for their vessels.

This role combines regional sales strategy, technical solution selling and account development. You will work closely with technical teams and senior management, with direct involvement in market planning, customer opportunities and commercial decisions.

About HMAP

HMAP Pte Ltd is a Singapore-based manufacturer and integrator of marine navigation equipment and automation systems. Our core navigation portfolio includes marine Radar, Electronic Chart Display and Information Systems (ECDIS), and Voyage Data Recorders (VDR).

Why Join HMAP

  • Regional responsibility: Shape territory sales plans and develop customer and distributor relationships across Southeast Asia.
  • Close collaboration with product specialists: Work directly with technical teams to turn customer requirements into practical proposals and project opportunities.
  • Visible business impact: Contribute market insights and commercial recommendations to senior management.
  • Maritime industry engagement: Represent HMAP at customer meetings, distributor engagements and maritime exhibitions throughout the region.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and execute territory sales plans to achieve agreed revenue, profitability and market development targets.
  • Strengthen and expand distributor networks through clear objectives, regular performance reviews, product training and commercial support.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities with shipowners, ship managers, shipyards and marine procurement teams.
  • Manage the sales cycle from prospecting and opportunity qualification through proposals, negotiations and order confirmation.
  • Work with technical teams on customer requirements, product demonstrations, tender submissions and product specifications for vessel projects.
  • Monitor competitor activity, customer purchasing priorities and market developments to identify new opportunities.
  • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and provide forecasts, performance updates and market feedback to management.
  • Coordinate with operations and service teams to support effective order handover, delivery and customer satisfaction.

What You Will Bring

  • A Degree or Diploma in Maritime Studies, Marine Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Business Administration or a related discipline.
  • At least five years of B2B sales experience in marine electronics, navigation systems or bridge equipment.
  • Strong working knowledge of Radar, ECDIS and VDR applications, technical specifications and relevant maritime regulatory requirements.
  • An established professional network among distributors, shipowners, ship managers, shipyards and marine procurement professionals, particularly in Singapore and Southeast Asia.
  • A record of developing business opportunities, managing channel partners, negotiating commercial terms and closing sales.
  • The ability to communicate confidently with both technical and commercial stakeholders.
  • A proactive, organised approach and sound commercial judgement, with accountability for results.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regionally approximately 20–30% of working time.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
