The posting

Our client is in Maritime industry. They are looking for a Marine Operation Manager to assist their team for the next phrase of their business. They are located in West – easily accessible.

Duties

  • Manage daily marine operations across a fleet of vessels, covering navigation, mooring, deck equipment, safety equipment, port operations, STS operations and overall vessel condition.
  • Oversee safe cargo operations, including loading/discharging, grade changes, tank preparation, repairs and maintenance, while ensuring compliance with safety requirements.
  • Ensure regulatory and inspection compliance by managing SIRE, CDI, PSC, USCG, Terminal and Flag inspections, as well as vessel documentation, certifications and international regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct vessel inspections, audits and incident reviews, including management inspections, internal audits, near misses and accidents, and monitor corrective and preventive actions.
  • Coordinate with key stakeholders including Class, Oil Majors, Ship Owners, suppliers and internal Technical teams for drydock planning, vessel maintenance and operational requirements.
  • Develop and assess vessel personnel through crew training, safety/environmental/security drills, officer appraisals, interviews for selection/promotion and competency assessments.

Requirements

  • A Master Mariner Certificate of Competency holder
  • Possess Sailing experience as a Master or Chief Officer on LPG / Ethylene Vessel
  • Ability to travel at short notice and manage 24/7 on call lifestyle.
