Job Summary

Carry out maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on heavy machinery, construction equipment, and company vehicles to ensure operational efficiency and minimize downtime at project sites.

Responsibilities

  • Perform servicing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on heavy machinery, construction equipment, and company vehicles to maintain operational readiness
  • Diagnose and rectify mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults to restore equipment functionality
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and routine inspections to ensure equipment remains in good working condition
  • Repair and replace defective parts, components, and machinery systems to sustain equipment performance
  • Respond promptly to machinery breakdowns at project sites and execute necessary repairs to minimize downtime
  • Maintain accurate records of servicing, repairs, and maintenance activities for compliance and tracking
  • Ensure all repair and maintenance work adheres to workplace safety procedures to protect personnel and equipment
  • Execute additional duties as assigned by Supervisor or Management to support team objectives

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in mechanical maintenance and repair, preferably in the construction industry
  • Hands-on experience repairing heavy construction machinery such as excavators, wheel loaders, bulldozers, and other construction equipment
  • Good knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and basic electrical troubleshooting
  • Ability to diagnose mechanical faults and carry out repairs independently
  • Relevant technical certification in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology, or related field is advantageous
  • Physically fit and willing to work at project sites
  • Ability to respond to urgent machinery breakdowns when required
  • Possession of a valid Singapore Class 3 driving licence is advantageous
