Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to support the execution of wastewater treatment projects. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing mechanical system designs, equipment layouts, engineering calculations, and providing technical support across all project phases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design & Drafting: Prepare detailed mechanical system designs, equipment layouts, and engineering drawings using CAD software.
  • Engineering Calculations: Perform mechanical calculations, system sizing, and technical evaluations to support system design.
  • Equipment Selection & Optimization: Assist in selecting appropriate mechanical equipment, pump systems, and piping while driving design optimization.
  • Project & Site Coordination: Collaborate closely with multi-disciplinary engineering teams, project managers, and site personnel during project execution.
  • Technical Documentation: Prepare clear technical specifications, bill of materials (BOM), engineering documentation, and project reports.
  • Troubleshooting & Support: Provide technical troubleshooting and engineering support during installation, testing, and commissioning phases.
  • Quality & Compliance: Ensure all mechanical designs strictly comply with project requirements, industry standards, and environmental regulations.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of mechanical design experience, preferably within wastewater treatment, water infrastructure, or industrial process plants.

Technical Skills & Attributes

  • Software: Proficient in AutoCAD or related 2D/3D engineering design software.
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team-coordination skills.
  • Responsible, detail-oriented, and proactive in managing design deliverables.
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively in team settings.
