Job Summary
You will join the Cell Processing Laboratory team at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital as a Medical Laboratory Scientist. You will produce, process, and conduct quality control testing of cell therapy products accurately and efficiently while contributing scientific and technical expertise to daily operations and process improvements.
Responsibilities
- Produce and process cell therapy products following established protocols to ensure accuracy and reliability
- Perform various quality control tests on cell therapy products to maintain high standards of safety and efficacy
- Provide scientific and technical input to support daily laboratory operations and troubleshoot issues promptly
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance laboratory efficiency and product quality
- Contribute to the management and development of the Cell Processing Laboratory through collaboration and knowledge sharing
- Adapt work schedule to include outside normal hours such as overnight shifts, weekends, public holidays, and on-call standbys as required
Required competencies and certifications
- Hold a BSc or MSc degree in Transfusion Science, Haematology, or Biomedical Science
- Demonstrate ability and willingness to work outside normal hours, including overnight, weekends, public holidays, and on-call standbys
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience working in a hospital-based Blood or Tissue Bank or clinical Haematology Laboratory
- Experience in quality assurance for testing clinical specimens
