About theRole:

At Xtremax, we design and operate mission-critical digital platforms and infrastructure powering large-scale enterprise services across Singapore. We are looking for an experienced Senior Network Engineer / Consultant to design, implement, and support robust enterprise network infrastructure across on-premises environments and hybrid cloud platforms.

In this role, you will be responsible for enterprise campus networking, data centre infrastructure, WAN, Internet edge security, wireless networks, and hybrid connectivity with the Government Commercial Cloud (GCC / GCC+). You will provide network architecture guidance, technical assurance, and high-level operational support to ensure high availability, resilience, and security compliance across large-scale government environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructure covering campus networks, data centres, WAN environments, Internet edge, and enterprise wireless systems.
  • Design, integrate, and support hybrid cloud network architectures connecting on-premises infrastructure with Government Commercial Cloud (GCC) and Government Commercial Cloud Plus (GCC+)environments.
  • Lead network design reviews, architecture governance, technical assurance, and project consultancy across multiple concurrent infrastructure initiatives.
  • Develop and support enterprise network architecture, including core, distribution, and access layer designs, network segmentation, and high-availability redundancy models.
  • Implement and manage hybrid connectivity solutions, including ExpressRoute, Site-to-Site VPN, MPLS, SD-WAN, and Direct Connect technologies.
  • Design and maintain Internet Edge, DMZ architectures, network firewalls, and micro-segmentation security controls.
  • Configure, manage, and troubleshoot load balancers, reverse proxies, and IP Address Management (IPAM) systems.
  • Support hybrid cloud networking components including Azure Firewall, Application Gateway, Azure WAF, NSGs, Azure Front Door, Virtual WAN, and hybrid DNS resolution.
  • Manage end-to-end network incident resolution, including ticket ownership, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis (RCA),escalation, and management reporting.
  • Support data centre operations and physical network infrastructure, including switching fabric, rack patch panels, copper/fibre troubleshooting, and wireless access point management.

Requirements:

  • Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 8 to 10 years of solid hands-on experience in enterprise network engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in network architecture, technical solution design, or consultancy.
  • Mandatory Certification: Valid Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification.
  • Strong hands-on routing and switching expertise across OSPF, BGP, VRRP/HSRP, VLAN, VXLAN, QoS, MPLS, IPv4/IPv6, and NAT.
  • Proven track record designing, deploying, and maintaining enterprise-scale on-premises networks and data centre switching fabrics.
  • Excellent troubleshooting capabilities across both logical protocols and physical network infrastructure.
  • Strong communication, analytical thinking, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience supporting Singapore Government agencies, Statutory Boards, or public sector ICT initiatives.
  • Familiarity with Singapore Government ICT policies, cybersecurity standards, and cloud governance frameworks.
  • Advanced networking or cloud certifications(e.g., CCNP, CCIE, Azure Network Engineer Associate).
