Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Nurse Manager / Nurse Clinician to oversee nursing care and clinical operations within a nursing home / long-term care setting.
The role will provide clinical leadership, nursing team supervision and geriatric care, while working closely with doctors, allied health professionals and other healthcare teams to deliver safe and person-centred care to elderly residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily nursing operations and ensure high standards of clinical care and resident safety.
- Lead, supervise and develop Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses and Nursing Assistants.
- Guide the implementation of nursing care plans, policies, procedures and workflows.
- Monitor residents' health conditions and ensure appropriate clinical assessment, care planning and interventions.
- Collaborate with doctors, allied health professionals and other healthcare teams to provide multidisciplinary care.
- Support medication management, ordering and inventory control in accordance with established procedures.
- Monitor compliance with clinical, infection control and nursing standards.
- Identify opportunities for nursing practice and workflow improvements.
- Provide guidance and support to nursing staff in delivering quality geriatric and person-centred care.
- Maintain accurate nursing documentation and clinical records.
- Support other nursing and operational initiatives as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or relevant Post-Basic Qualification in Medical-Surgical Nursing, Gerontology or a related field.
- Registered with the Singapore Nursing Board (SNB).
- Relevant experience in nursing management, clinical leadership or senior nursing roles.
- Experience in nursing home, long-term care, community care or geriatric care will be an advantage.
- Good knowledge of clinical nursing practices and geriatric care.
- Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Good communication skills and comfortable engaging with elderly residents and their families.
- Proactive and open-minded, with a willingness to contribute to quality improvement and care delivery.
- Able to work independently while taking ownership of assigned responsibilities.
