The posting

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in patient care activities before, during, and after surgical procedures.
  • Prepare and set up operating theatres based on the daily surgery schedule.
  • Ensure operating theatre equipment is checked, maintained, and ready for use.
  • Collect, bag, and remove soiled linen from operating theatres, disposal rooms, and changing areas.
  • Handle the segregation and disposal of general and biohazard waste in compliance with infection control and safety standards.
  • Safely transfer and escort patients between wards and operating theatres.
  • Provide dispatch, transportation, and logistical support as required.
  • Monitor, replenish, and organize operating theatre supplies and consumables to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum secondary school education or equivalent.
  • Able to work on a 3-shift rotating schedule, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Committed to maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and infection control.
  • Responsible, dependable, and able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Prior healthcare or hospital support experience will be an advantage, though training will be provided for suitable candidates.
