The posting
You will be responsible for the overall progress of fabrication and assembly of our tile grouting robot, managing hardware development from component manufacturing through to site deployment. You will also oversee operations and maintenance of the robot, including troubleshooting, after-sales service, and client demonstrations.
Key responsibilities
- Liaise with Contract Manufacturers to manufacture various subcomponents of the robot and modules
- Import components to Singapore for final assembly, functionalising, and site deployment or exportation
- Ensure appropriate customs paperwork is complete
- Oversee, manage, and provide training for interns in Solidworks CAD design, metal cutting, 3D printing, soldering, and mechanical/electrical debugging
- Develop and perform hardware and electrical tests to validate robot design
- Collaborate with team and external parties to improve robot design while including DFM/DFA considerations
- Maintain robots and perform troubleshooting and after-sales service locally
- Perform on-site trials and demonstrations for potential clients and investors
