Role Summary

Overall ownership of warehouse, transport, and manpower operations. Leads strategy, sets standards, manages budgets, and ensures the entire operations team delivers safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with company and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Plan and direct all operations activities — warehouse, transport, manpower deployment
  • Set KPIs, targets, and service standards; monitor and report on performance
  • Lead continuous improvement in productivity, cost efficiency, and service quality

End-to-End Operations Management

  • Oversee Assistant Manager and the three Controller/Supervisor roles — provide guidance and direction
  • Ensure integration across manpower planning ↔ transport logistics ↔ warehouse workflows
  • Coordinate cross-departmentally: Customer Service, Safety, HR, Finance

Safety & Regulatory Compliance

  • Ultimate accountability for safety — WSH Act, MOM regulations, company policies
  • Lead major incident investigations; ensure corrective actions are implemented and sustained
  • Review and approve all operational SOPs; embed a strong safety culture

Resource & Budget Management

  • Plan manpower requirements; approve recruitment, training budgets, and incentive schemes
  • Oversee fleet management — vehicle replacement, maintenance, transport costs
  • Manage warehouse operating budget — equipment, supplies, expenses
  • Approve significant POs and capital expenditure

Performance & Stakeholder Management

  • Conduct performance reviews for Assistant Manager and key supervisors
  • Liaise with customers, partners, and outsourced transport providers
  • Deliver monthly/quarterly performance reports to Senior Management
