Our client is a Maritime Industry. Due to business needs, they are now recruiting a Operations Manager (Marine) to be part of their Lab Team for ongoing transformation projects. They are located in the Central - easily accessible
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily marine operations of assigned vessels, covering navigation, mooring, deck equipment, safety equipment, port arrival and departure, STS operations, and overall vessel condition.
- Manage and ensure the safe and efficient execution of cargo operations, including loading and discharging, grade changes, tank preparation, and related activities.
- Work closely with the Technical team on dry-docking specifications, planning, preparation, and execution.
- Coordinate and manage third-party inspections, including SIRE, CDI, Port State Control (PSC), USCG, terminal inspections, Flag State inspections, and other relevant inspections.
- Conduct management inspections and internal audits onboard vessels, identify areas for improvement, and monitor the effective implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Review, assess, and respond to vessel reports, including navigation and safety reports, SIRE/CDI and PSC inspection findings, internal audit reports, near misses, incidents, and accidents.
- Liaise with key stakeholders, including Classification Societies, Oil Majors, Ship Owners, suppliers, Flag States, and other relevant parties, to ensure vessels remain fully certified and compliant with applicable international regulations.
- Review vessel records, documentation, and reporting systems to ensure compliance with international maritime regulations and company policies and procedures.
- Manage and monitor both planned and unplanned vessel repairs, ensuring all work is properly planned, executed safely, and completed to the required standards.
Requirements:
- Minimum Class 1 COC.
- Sailing experience as a Master or Chief Officer onboard LPG and/or Ethylene vessels.
- Minimum 12 months of hands-on sailing experience handling Ethylene cargo.
- Strong and extensive LPG vessel experience
