Brief Summary
Join a dynamic banking operations team supporting the end-to-end lifecycle of structured products, OTC FX transactions and payment settlements. This role offers broad exposure to financial products, trade processing and operational controls, working closely with Front Office and Head Office teams to ensure smooth and accurate daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the product lifecycle for equity- and FX-linked products, including asset setup and client confirmation processes.
- Process daily OTC FX options and DCI (Dual Currency Investment) fixings accurately and efficiently.
- Monitor structured notes for early redemptions and ensure timely notification to the Front Office.
- Serve as a key operations contact for Front Office and Head Office, providing guidance on operational processes and resolving queries.
- Process incoming and outgoing payments, investigate discrepancies and resolve settlement issues.
- Coordinate securities deliveries and handle cheque- and cash-related transactions.
- Liaise with Head Office to reconcile outstanding breaks and manage transactions involving special conditions.
- Perform client offboarding activities and manage Legal Entity Identifier (LEI) applications, renewals and related documentation.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail and maintain accurate physical records and archives.
- Support ad-hoc operational activities, process improvements and projects as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or a related discipline.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in banking, financial services or financial operations will be an advantage.
- Good understanding of financial products, particularly structured products and FX-related instruments.
- Familiarity with the Avaloq banking system will be an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail, with a high level of accuracy in transaction processing and data management.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate and resolve operational discrepancies.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across Front Office, Head Office and other internal teams.
- Well-organised and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced banking environment.
