About Us:

Ascend Eye Clinic is a private ophthalmologist clinic. We provide premium & personalised subspecialty eye care, from routine eye screening to cataract surgeries and the management of complex eye diseases.

About the Role:

As an Optometrist, you will assess patients' eye health, prescribe vision correction, and operate advanced diagnostics equipment, including angiography, assist in the management of patients through their treatment and surgery journey.

You will also support overall patient care and administrative tasks.

This role offers broad clinical exposure, making it ideal for both experienced and pre-registration optometrists.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take clinical histories from patients

• Perform eye screening examinations using diagnostic equipment to evaluate ocular health and identify signs of eye disease

• Prescribe glasses and contact lenses

• Educate patients on optical aids, vision health and eye conditions

• Counsel patients before and after surgery

• Handle counter and administrative duties, including LOG and insurance claims

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma in Optometry

• Pre-registration candidates welcome, with mentorship, training and a wide range of clinical cases to fulfill requirements

• Passionate about clinical optometry and keen to work in a clinical setting

• Proactive, responsible team player

• Good interpersonal and communication skills

• Comfortable with adult and children patients

What We Offer:

• Monthly salary of $3,200 – $6,500, commensurate with experience

• Structured mentorship and clinical training

• Exposure to a wide variety of clinical cases

• Flexible work arrangements

Expected Working Hours:

Monday to Friday: 8:30 am – 5:30 pm

Saturday: 8:30 am – 1:00 pm

Sunday and Public Holidays: Off (clinic closed)

Central, located in a Private Hospital
