The posting

Edufarm Learning Centre is looking for a passionate and dedicated Preparatory Math Teacher for our 2027 classes to help young learners build a strong foundation in Mathematics and prepare for Primary 1.

We welcome MOE-trained teachers and experienced tutors who are familiar with the Singapore education system. Candidates with an Early Childhood Education qualification or experience teaching preschool-aged children will have an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach preparatory Mathematics to young learners preparing for Primary 1.
  • Help students develop essential numeracy, problem-solving, and mathematical thinking skills.
  • Follow the provided teaching materials and lesson plans.
  • Create an engaging, supportive, and age-appropriate learning environment.
  • Monitor students’ progress and provide feedback where necessary.

Requirements

  • Minimum Diploma qualification with good academic results.
  • MOE-trained teachers or candidates with relevant tutoring or teaching experience are preferred.
  • Familiarity with the Singapore Mathematics curriculum is an advantage.
  • A background in Early Childhood Education, such as an Early Childhood Education diploma or relevant teaching experience, is preferred.
  • Patient, enthusiastic, and able to engage young learners effectively.
  • Must be eligible to work in Singapore.

Class Details

  • Subject: Mathematics
  • Target learners: K2 students
  • Teaching materials: Provided by Edufarm Learning Centre
  • Class duration: One hour per week
  • Schedule: Weekday afternoon, subject to class availability
  • Class size: Min. of 5 students and max. of 12 students
  • Recruitment period: For classes commencing in 2027
