The posting

Job Scope:

  • Primary responsibility: Transcription
  • Additional tasks: Data organisation and data analysis, as needed
  • A note on transcription hour calculation: For project, 1 hour of interview or classroom data typically requires about 5 hours of transcription.

Requirements:

Essential:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or current undergraduate/postgraduate student) in Education, Applied Linguistics, Social Sciences, or related fields
  • Prior experience in transcription or prior experience with qualitative research (e.g., thematic analysis)
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Commitment to the responsible and ethical handling of confidential research data

Working Arrangements

Duration : Immediate to 30 November 2026

  • Remote work arrangement (with occasional meetings - bi-weekly meetings face to face at Nanyang Ave if required)
  • Working hours are flexible based on availability, with an estimated total of 25 hours per week.

Salary : $1500.00 per month (to be pro-rated at $15.00 per hour if minimum number of hours are not met)
