The posting

Job Description:

  • Manage vessel allocation and capacity across designated ship systems and trade routes.
  • Optimise vessel utilisation and profitability while minimising operational costs such as storage, renomination and rollover expenses.
  • Monitor booking developments, forecast voyage utilisation and adjust capacity plans according to market conditions.
  • Coordinate with ship planners and partner lines on space allocation, vessel restrictions, load planning and special-cargo approvals, including OOG and flexitank shipments.
  • Work closely with Trade Management, Pricing, Commercial Steering, Customer Service and regional operations teams.
  • Manage shipment acceptance, waitlists and cargo prioritisation during overbooking situations.
  • Support schedule adjustments and contingency measures, including rollovers and port omissions, while balancing reliability, utilisation, cost and customer impact.
  • Maintain optimal allocation baselines and monitor adherence to capacity, overbooking and cargo-prioritisation guidelines.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Operational background and Trade Management or Commercial Steering experience welcome
  • Comprehensive knowledge about HL applications (FIS, Qlik) (Advantageous)
  • Proficient in MS-Office products (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Analytical, systematic and efficient way of working
  • Motivated, proactive and reliable
