GENERAL OVERVIEW

The Planner (Mechanical) plays a vital part in ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the terminal by planning, coordinating, and optimizing maintenance activities across critical plant equipment.

The Planner (Mechanical) will work closely with Operations, Maintenance, HSSE, and external stakeholders to deliver preventive, corrective, and shutdown maintenance programs and also contribute to the reliability and integrity of static equipment through effective planning, inspection programs, and continuous improvement initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineering professional who enjoys problem-solving, cross-functional collaboration, and making a direct impact on plant performance and reliability.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan and schedule resources for preventive, corrective, and risk-based maintenance activities, including support for planned and unplanned shutdowns.
  • Develop, coordinate, and maintain the overall maintenance master plan and schedule within SAP to optimize maintenance execution and reduce operational disruptions.
  • Track and drive maintenance KPI performance while maintaining accurate records of equipment failures, repairs, modifications, and maintenance activities to support data-driven analysis and continuous improvement.
  • Manage mechanical maintenance activities through SAP, including scheduling preventive and corrective maintenance work orders, maintaining equipment master data and PM plans, and initiating purchase requisitions for spare parts and materials.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to review, prioritize, and coordinate maintenance work requests, ensuring operational and safety requirements are met.
  • Engage with external authorities to obtain approvals for natural gas equipment maintenance activities and coordinate with contractors and vendors on site surveys, safety inductions and maintenance execution.
  • Provide technical support for static equipment and contribute to the development of maintenance strategies focused on equipment reliability, spare parts optimization, turnaround planning, inspection schedules, and preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Ensure all SAP maintenance and asset management requirements are incorporated during project asset creation, with complete and accurate equipment and maintenance data transferred into SAP before project completion.

QUALIFICATION

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in plant maintenance involving rotating and static equipment, preferably within the oil & gas, petrochemical, energy, or related process industries.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with in-service pipeline inspection methodologies. Exposure to LNG, natural gas, or hydrocarbon industries will be an advantage.
  • Technical experience in maintaining mechanical systems and equipment such as compressors, pumps, pressure vessels, hydraulic components, and piping systems.
  • Good understanding of relevant local codes, regulations, industry standards, equipment inspection requirements, and maintenance scheduling practices.
  • Professional certifications in API inspection, vibration analysis, or related disciplines will be highly regarded.
  • Adaptable and able to manage changing priorities in a dynamic operating environment.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
