Looking to grow your career in procurement and purchasing? Join a dynamic team where you will coordinate purchase orders, liaise with vendors and support day-to-day procurement operations in a professional working environment.

If you have experience in purchasing or order processing and enjoy coordinating with suppliers and internal stakeholders, this could be the right opportunity for you!

What You'll Do

  • Review purchase requisitions for completeness and accuracy, following up with requestors on any discrepancies.
  • Source suitable vendors and coordinate with them on pricing, product availability and delivery schedules.
  • Review vendor quotations and compare prices against historical purchasing records.
  • Maintain and update price lists when required.
  • Create new item records and assist with new vendor onboarding in SAP.
  • Support vendor assessments and account creation processes where necessary.
  • Liaise and negotiate with vendors to obtain competitive pricing and favourable purchasing terms.
  • Process purchase requisitions into purchase orders and handle amendments within the required timelines.
  • Ensure purchase orders receive the necessary approvals and are issued to vendors and internal requestors promptly.
  • Monitor order status and follow up with vendors to ensure timely delivery or expedite urgent orders.
  • Respond to enquiries from internal stakeholders regarding order status, changes and cancellations.
  • Assist with quarterly stocktakes and provide backup support to team members when required.
  • Perform other ad-hoc procurement duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in purchasing, procurement or order processing.
  • Familiarity with purchase order processes and vendor coordination.
  • Good communication, negotiation and coordination skills.
  • Meticulous, organised and able to manage multiple requests efficiently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with SAP will be an advantage.
  • Able to work independently and collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
